Toyota v/s McLaren

After Ferrari launched its 2009 title challenger last Monday, it was time for both Toyota and McLaren to reveal their 2009 cars. Both the teams are arguably the richest teams in Formula 1 and every eye was on them hoping to see a revolutionary product. Toyota revealed its car on the 15th of January while McLaren did the same the very next day. As per this year’s FIA guidelines, both cars has extra wide front wings and tall rear wings. Toyota are all set to register their first F1 victory this season and their lead driver, Trulli is reasonably confident. McLaren, on the other hand, are eying both titles this season.

 F1 Singapore GP 2008

The Formula One “circus” reached the city of Singapore to witness the city stage its very first F1 race which also happens to be the first ever night race in F1’s history. Yes you read that right, it was a night race as in all cars went round in circles under flood lights. The entire track was illuminated to such an extent that it almost felt like daytime. The tarmac was smooth and the background was delicious, none of the teams knew what to expect.

F1 Italian GP 2008

The Italian Grand Prix 2008 took place only a week after the Spa race. Ferrari took heart from the fact that Massa was declared the eventual winner of the Belgian Grand Prix while McLaren weren’t too happy after Lewis was stripped of a victory. Whether or not Lewis tried to push the limits of the rulebook will be debated for days to come. That’s his style and the aggression which some fans love while others love to hate. However, he was all set to conquer Italy.

 F1 Belgian GP 2008

The Belgian Grand Prix 2008 was first of the two back to back races in September. Spa Francorchamps being the premier racing venue and many driver’s favorite circuit, a lot of excitement and hardcore racing was guaranteed. The circuit didn’t disappoint on any count and with the unpredictable weather adding its own charm, it easily became one of the most watchable race this season so far.

F1 2008

A new year and a new season of championship is all set to begin this weekend. The expectations are at an all time high and a high dose of excitement is guaranteed. There are many changes from last year both in terms of technicalities and personalities. We’ve witnessed quite a few rule changes announced by the FIA as well as a number of drivers switching teams. To add to it, there are also a few new drivers and a newly acquired team, Force India.

Formula 1 2007

The Formula 1 World Championship 2007 is about to start with the Australian Grand Prix this weekend. There has been a lot of changes in terms of teams, drivers, sponsors and rules as well. This year’s championship will be contested by 11 teams and 22 drivers. This season of Formula 1 promises to be as exciting if not better than all the previous seasons. The biggest change will of course be the absence of a living legend, Michael Schumacher. After winning seven world titles and driving for more than a decade, he’ll not be seen in his usual red overalls this season.
