 Big TV

Big TV has finally been launched commercially. In case you are unaware, Big TV is a DTH (Direct to Home) service brought to you by Reliance ADAG (Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group). It arrives after much anticipation and wait of almost two years since they obtained the DTH license. Reliance obviously wanted to make it Big and much more exciting than any of the current DTH services presently available in India.

I’ve recently changed the look and the underlying architecture for this website. The transformation went seamlessly without any issues. I’m sure you all will like the new look and the improved content that will be posted here from now on. I’ve also changed the old Photo Gallery and replaced it with my Flickr Gallery.

The Photo Gallery has been divided into three distinct Albums namely Formula 1 & Technology, Festivals and Traveling. The Album names are self explanatory and I don’t believe that it needs to be emphasized any more. I’ll be keeping the Photo Gallery section updated with new photos every now and then. Please make sure you visit the Gallery every time you visit my website.

MS Surface Computing

A few months ago Microsoft revealed to the world, a new revolutionary interface technology called “Surface Computing“. Apparently, surface computing takes user involvement with digital media to the next level. According to Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer – “With Surface, we are creating more intuitive ways for people to interact with technology”. He said, “We see this as a multi billion dollar category, and we envision a time when surface computing technologies will be pervasive, from tabletops and counters to the hallway mirror. Surface is the first step in realizing that vision.”

Its a small and lightweight hand held device which allows email, web browsing and searching. The iPhone houses an entirely new user interface based on a large touch screen display and software which lets you control everything with your fingers. TechEnclave

If some of you were wondering what I have been doing for the last year and half or so or what was the reason for lack of updates on my previous website, you’ll have your answers today. Right after the launch of my earlier website, me and some of my friends got together discussing the possibilities of a technology community and website. There were not too many technology related websites in India as computers and related technologies were rather new in these parts of the world. There was no one to guide the technology enthusiasts.
